As a substitute teacher, you will be responsible for carrying out the lesson plans of the regularly appointed teacher for whom you would be substituting. Your goal will be to adhere to the learning environment that would exist if the regular teacher were in the classroom.

Substitute Teacher Service, (STS) has openings for nurses who will be responsible for the medical supervision and health care of students and staff in the assigned school.
Food Service encompasses all the positions needed to have the school kitchen/cafeteria run as a team, whereas one person can step in to fill the shoes of another’s position on a moments notice. This includes any Food Service member that is a head cook, cashier, dishwasher, food prep, etc. At the direct of the designated school district Team Leader, these positions may be required to perform a combination of supportive functions, based upon the needs of the environment, on a daily basis.
Custodian personnel are individuals who under general supervision from an administrative superior, performs custodial duties to include overall building, grounds maintenance and repair functions.
The Act 86 Program, effective summer of 2016, allows current students enrolled in a Pennsylvania accredited college or university pursuing teacher certification to work as a substitute teacher. The program is designed for student teachers to gain experience in the classroom for a maximum of twenty days per school year.
